WAN Configuration
Note: Line Type and Bandwidth
Recommended to be set to 0.9 to 0.95 of the total bandwidth.
The reserved bandwidth is used to defend against bursty data. In areas with plentiful bandwidth, you can set a factor higher than 0.95.
The total bandwidth of the uplink and downlink is kilobytes per second, that is, KB/s, which is usually calculated by multiplying the nominal bandwidth by 100. For example, 10M fiber, the total bandwidth of the uplink and downlink is 10*100, that is, 1000KB/s. For reserved bandwidth, it is recommended to set 937KB/s.
In general, selecting “Internet access type and bandwidth” will automatically fill in “upstream reference bandwidth” and “reference downstream bandwidth”, and the system will automatically consider reserve and calculate bandwidth. Customization is only required if the appropriate type is not found.
