Mobile Modem WAN_4G

ezenos powered firmware can work with various of mobile modems, including Sierra MC7455 and Quectel EC20 / EC21 / EC25 / EP06 series.
Note: Please install the SIM card when the router is turned off or hard restart the router after installing the SIM card.

4G Status Bar

The real-time 4G status bar on the top menu includes:
Network / Carrier / Signal Strength / SIM Card Status.

Note: The 4G status bar works under QMI protocol only.

APN Settings

Some mobile carriers require to input APN settings to connect to their mobile network. You can contact the carrier to get the most updated APN settings. Click “Edit” on the row of “WAN_4G” to enter the configuration page. Input APN gateway address, username, and password. Then click “Save and apply”.

APN: Access point name (APN) is the gateway to access carrier’s network
Username: User name to access mobile carrier’s network
Password: Password to access mobile carrier’s network
Authentication: Normally use PAP
PIN: 4 digit numbers of the PIN code of SIM card

It will take a few minutes to set up the connection after input the APN settings.

Protocol Settings

Some mobile carriers may do not support the default protocol “Dynamic IP”, which is base on QMI and GobiNet. Please enable “4G-PPP” protocol for these mobile carriers.

Connection Type: Choose “4G-PPP”

Modem Device: Choose “/dev/ttyUSB2” for -S6A modem (Sierra MC7455), or choose “/dev/ttyUSB3” for other modems (Quectel EC2x/EP06 series)

Access Service Type: Choose “WCDMA” for American standard modems, or choose “EVDO/CDMA2000” for European and Australian standard modem

Dial Number: Leave empty or enter *99#

Click “Save & Apply” after configured above parameters.

It will take a few seconds to set up the connection. You can back to “Interface Overview” to check the WAN_4G connection. If obtained an IP address, the 4G connection has been set up successfully.
